CEO & Founder · Bouwhuis Groep
Jonald Bouwhuis’s personal story begins in a pancake restaurant, where he started work as a dishwasher. It was the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey in which hard work, creativity and an understanding of people came together time and again.
From washing dishes to running his own business. From one venture to several restaurants and nightlife venues. Early on, Jonald discovered how much difference attention can make: the interior, the music, the welcome and the people who work there. Everything contributes to the atmosphere of a place. This attention to the experience would become a recurring theme in his work as an entrepreneur.
The move into property grew out of that day-to-day experience. Buying and selling hospitality properties opened the door to a new world. Jonald saw opportunities to repurpose buildings, develop ideas and add value. His business activities increasingly extended beyond hospitality.
Jonald has described that personal history in Het komt VastGoed and In alle BouwStaten. His forthcoming third book, De weg terug, continues the story. Together, the books describe the ambitions, choices and turning points that have shaped him as an entrepreneur and a person.
